EL 19 Switch V3 P30-57

Applicable for:

  • Easy, all models
  • Smart, all model, except Smart P60
  • Go, all models

• This is the main electrical switch used to start and stop AVA pressure washers in the P30–P57 segment. It is mounted inside the switch box and activated by the external rotary knob.
• This switch is a standardised component that can also be found in other consumer appliances and machines.

Note: If considering a replacement from another supplier, always verify the technical specifications – including voltage, current rating, dimensions and pin configuration – against the product image. Compatibility issues can lead to malfunction or safety risks.

*Recommended for experienced technicians only
While this part can technically be replaced on its own, we strongly recommend replacing the complete switch box assembly. In many cases, the issue lies not with the switch itself, but with the plastic guides inside the housing, which may be cracked or deformed. Replacing just the switch may not solve the issue – or worse, create a new one.

Not sure where the fault lies? For long-term reliability and proper function, we recommend the complete switch box found in our Warranty & Repair Kits.

Typical cause of failure

• Mechanical wear or electrical arcing from frequent use
• Internal corrosion due to moisture or condensation
• Misalignment in the switch housing putting stress on contacts
• Incompatible third-party switch previously installed

Failure symptoms – Part correlation

• Machine does not respond when the power knob is turned
• Inconsistent start/stop function
• Electrical clicking with no activation
• Burn marks or corrosion found inside the switch box

Installation advice

Always prioritize safety first: Safety instructions – AVA of Norway

• Disconnect the power supply before opening the switch housing
• Remove the existing switch carefully and inspect both the terminals and the plastic housing
• Ensure the new switch fits snugly and aligns perfectly with all mounting points
• Do not reuse damaged switch boxes or housings

Currently no specific step-by-step guide is available for Easy, Go, or Smart series. If unsure, we recommend seeking help from a professional service centre or choosing a full repair kit.
