Typical causes for service needs:

  • Frost damage due to improper winter storage
  • Wear and tear from regular use
  • Reduced performance or internal water leakage
  • Loud pump noise or abnormal vibration during use

Failure symptoms – Part correlation:

  • Loss of pressure or water dripping from the machine
  • Motor running continuously after releasing the trigger
  • Pressure washer not turning on
  • Poor or unstable water flow
  • Leaking from hose connection or internal valve

Installation and service advice:

  • Always priority safety first: Safety instructions – AVA of Norway
  • Disconnect both power and water before starting the service.
  • Discharge any residual pressure by pulling the trigger on the gun in a safe direction.
  • Make sure your workspace is clean and dry.

Post-service assembly:

  1. Connect the pressure gun and hose.
  2. Connect water and check for leaks.
  3. Pull the trigger until the water runs clear (air removed).
  4. Connect the power cord and turn on the machine.
  5. Let the water flow for 1 minute without the nozzle.
  6. Attach the nozzle and confirm full pressure output.

Troubleshooting:

  • Water leaking internally: Open the machine and inspect for leak sources. Replace or reseat faulty seals.
  • Motor runs continuously: Check that the switch box is properly seated on the start/stop valve.
  • Machine won’t start: Check power connection, circuit breakers, and internal wiring.
  • Poor performance/pressure: Check for dirt or debris in the pump and confirm correct valve and spring alignment.
  • Motor hums but doesn’t start: Check that the capacitor is connected with both the black and white wires.
