1. Purpose
AVA of Norway has introduced a comprehensive repair kit system to support long-term product lifespan, reduce environmental impact, and ensure high repair success across all customer segments. Our repair kits are designed to simplify the repair process while maintaining full compliance with EU regulations on spare parts availability and repairability.
2. Scope
This policy applies to all functional spare parts in AVA products, including but not limited to pumps, valves, motors, and internal sealing systems. Kits are available for both end-user (DIY) and professional workshop use.
3. Kit Composition
Each repair kit includes all necessary components for a successful replacement: primary part(s), matching seals, screws, spacers, and alignment tools when needed. All kits are individually numbered and documented.
4. Rationale
- Reduces repair time and labour costs, making more repairs economically viable
- Makes repairs accessible for non-professionals by removing complexity and part-matching risk
- Enables AVA to offer low-margin, nonprofit pricing on spare parts while reducing logistics cost
- Ensures correct reassembly and prevents failures due to missing or mismatched components
5. Spare Part Equivalence
In line with EU repairability regulations, each AVA repair kit is considered a full spare part. All kits are available for at least 15 years (20 years for products under extended warranty). They fulfil all criteria for availability, functionality, and pricing as per EU standards.
6. Transparency
Each kit is listed in AVA's official parts catalog, with visible contents and corresponding guides. QR codes on product packaging or spare part bags link directly to step-by-step repair instructions and videos.
7. Guarantee Support
Repairs using AVA repair kits do not void warranty. Kits are used both in out-of-warranty service and in official warranty repairs. Their simplified structure ensures correct installation and supports both workshop and consumer success.
